In Maná's song "Mi verdad," the group talks about the lies media and social networks sometimes tell, as well as dictators who have always existed in Latin America. This shows that they have always been committed to this global problem and, especially, to their country.

When asked if they are not afraid to denounce violent acts, they said: "Because we talked of the 43 students, many people told us we would get killed, to which I replied: 'But they can't kill us anymore'. In Mexico they keep on stealing, but perhaps it's not so easy anymore, because now they are reporting it. Journalists are no longer afraid. They may fire them, but now they are worth a lot more because they no longer dare to kill them'.

The new CD from Maná is called "Cama Incendiada", or "Burning Bed," their ninth album.  "My Truth," a duet with Shakira, reached number one on Hot Latin America"s Billboard.

Al preguntarles si no tienen miedo por denunciar hechos violentos, expresaron: “Por decir aquello de los 43 estudiantes, mucha gente me dijo que me iban a matar, a lo que yo respondí: ‘¡Pero si ya no matan!’. En México siguen robando, pero quizás no lo tienen tan fácil, porque se denuncia. Los periodistas ya no tienen miedo. Los corren, pero tienen más valor porque ya no se atreven a matarlos’.

El nuevo CD de Maná es Cama Incendiada, noveno disco de la banda, el cual alcanzó el número uno en la lista de Billboard Hot Latin de Estados Unidos con “Mi verdad”, en el que cantan junto con Shakira.
